HONOLULU, Hawaii (HawaiiNewsNow) - Eight people were injured, including five seriously, in a crash involving a city bus, school bus and pickup truck on the H-1 Freeway in Kalihi on Monday morning.

The crash happened just before 7:45 a.m. before the Likelike Highway off-ramp.

Emergency Medical Services said eight people were treated and taken to area hospitals.

Those seriously injured were: a 26-year-old woman, 56-year-old woman, 62-year-old woman, 74-year-old woman and 76-year-old woman.

Three others were in stable condition, including a 17-year-old girl who was in the school bus.

Police did not have further details, but they did confirm that three lanes were initially shut down. Lanes were reopened by 10 a.m.

Hawaii News Now cameras showed three vehicles involved in the crash, including a city bus, a school bus and utility truck.
