WAYNESBORO, Pa. — The Greater Waynesboro Chamber of Commerce will return to the local high school Saturday with its annual business expo in conjunction with Waynesboro Lions Club’s pancake and sausage breakfast.

The expo will feature a “kidz zone” with activities, balloon art and McGruff the Crime Dog.

About 70 businesses, nonprofit organizations and political candidates are signed up to interact with visitors to the expo.

Chamber Executive Director Jackie Mowen praised the Lions Club for its charitable contributions to the community and recommended visitors not only purchase breakfast, but also buy the brooms being sold by the Lions.

“The breakfast has been a staple in the community, and many look forward to it every year,” she said. “We appreciate their continued service and commitment to our community.”

The expo will have a bingo card game in which people who visit booths can win gift cards and event tickets.

Mowen said visitors can not only interact with representatives of well-established businesses, but also meet new businesspeople like those from Black Sheep Designs and Enjoy Every Moment.

Attendees can buy tickets to the Chamber’s Nite at the Races fundraiser, Mainstreet Waynesboro Inc.’s Chocolate Extravaganza and the community concert association’s events.

“We have an awesome town that we should be proud of, and it’s important to stay connected,” Mowen said.

Most parking is behind the school, although handicapped parking is closer to Second Street in the former courtyard. Buchanan Automotive will provide a shuttle service.
