Roadwork scheduled on I-81 at Maryland state line

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — The left northbound lane of Interstate 81 at the Maryland state line is scheduled be closed this week at nighttime for ongoing construction work, the West Virginia Division of Highways announced Tuesday.

The lane will be closed between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. to allow for the placement of concrete for the new bridge over the Potomac River, according to a news release from the highways division.

The schedule is weather dependent.
