Due to social distancing measures to help contain the spread of coronavirus, some musicians are livestreaming their concerts on Facebook and other outlets. Others are playing restaurants under Florida’s current social distancing guidelines, and some are doing both. Here are some upcoming live and/or livestream concerts by musicians who either live in or have ties to the Sarasota-Manatee area. If you are an area musician who’d like to be considered for this list, please email ticket@heraldtribune.com with your event information at least a week in advance. Show schedules are subject to change.

Jah Movement

Sarasota area reggae favorites Jah Movement say they plan on performing another livestream concert tonight, with this week’s show doubling as a celebration of Jamaican Independence Day, which is commemorated today. Jah Movement features soulful singer Shantel Norman as well as Damie Caines, who used to play in fellow popular area reggae band Democracy alongside his late father, Oswald Caines. The group is also now performing in-person at local venues; check their Facebook page for updates. 9 p.m. today; facebook.com/jahmovementband, PayPal: paypal.me/jahmovement, Venmo: venmo.com/Jah-Movement, Cash App: $jahmovement, Zelle: 336-918-1658
