BREXIT supporters from Herefordshire took their message to Parliament Square last week.

County campaign group Herefordshire For Brexit said members were out in good numbers in London last Friday, joining thousands of fellow campaigners as the pro-Brexit March To Leave protest reached its final destination.

Led by former UKIP leader Nigel Farage, the March To Leave saw thousands of protesters take to the streets, beginning in Sunderland on March 16 and arriving in the capital on March 29.

Herefordshire For Brexit Christopher Kingsley said: "You'd never know London voted Remain from the number of horns sounding, thumbs up at windows and cheers from passers-by.

"One excited lady even produced an alpine horn and blew it at us from her balcony – hopefully in support!”

But, the campaign group founder said, there was a very serious purpose to the protest.

"There is a major parting of the ways between the majority of the people and their elected representatives in Parliament which is very worrying," Mr Kingsley said.

"There is already the start of direct action around the country and this will surely get worse until the politicians listen to those who voted them in.

"We will be continuing our campaign throughout our county to give voice to the 60 per cent of voters who said in 2016 that they wanted to leave the European Union."
