A NEW sponsor for Herefordshire School Games means the mini-Olympics style event can continue keeping children from across the county active.

Business service company Hoople will sponsor this year's event, which will see a mass of coloured t-shirts descend on Hereford Leisure Centre, where over 1,500 children and young people take part in a range of events.

With the six values of respect, honesty, teamwork, determination, passion and self-belief at their core, the School Games provides a unique opportunity to motivate and inspire young people aged 7-13 to take part in more competitive school sport.

Stephen Brewster, Chief Executive Officer at the Sports Partnership Herefordshire and Worcestershire said, "The Herefordshire School Games is a fantastic opportunity to provide meaningful experiences for young people participating in school sport. We have every confidence that the School Games will support our young people to embark upon a lifelong journey of being physically active."

"We are absolutely thrilled and very grateful for Hoople's support and sponsorship of the Herefordshire Summer School Games, which continue to go from strength to strength."

Hoople said they are proud to be sponsoring the games which have been taking place annually since 2010 and a spokesman said it helps the organisation keep driving forward.

The 2019 Herefordshire Summer School Games are set to take place on Wednesday 3rd July at Hereford Leisure Centre. For more information around the event please visit:
