‘So why did they really close us?’ ask Vincent Fish and Chris Morgan in the Hereford Times last month.

Well, reading the last Osted report for the Robert Owen Academy may give both them and us a clue.

In each of the five categories of inspection, the now defunct school was rated ‘inadequate’, the lowest assessment that can be made by the inspectorate. These categories include ‘effectiveness of leadership and management’ for which both Mr Fish and Mr Morgan were responsible as Vice-Chairman and Chairman respectively.

I would be very interested to know just how much money this very expensive failure has cost all of us taxpayers.
