TRAFFIC light timing problems have been causing delays for drivers heading into Hereford today.

Motorists have complained of long tailbacks to the south of the city, while the lights on Greyfriars bridge are reportedly only allowing three or four cars through at a time.

A Herefordshire Council spokesperson confirmed that while they have received several calls from the public to report the issue, the lights at the A49 junction with Barton Road and St Nicholas Street are managed by Highways England, not Herefordshire Council.

Highways England have been informed of the problems.
