A VINTAGE show has been hailed as ‘the perfect Sunday out’ after another successful year.
Visitors took to social media to praise the variety and atmosphere of the Kington Vintage Show, held on August 17 and 18 at the recreation ground of the market town.
The annual event, which is organised by Kington Village Club, included a display of a variety of classic and vintage cars, with a parade through the high street on the Sunday morning.
Kington local Sally Boyce said: “Everyone loves its (the vintage show’s) friendly, welcoming atmosphere and the proud salute to a former age, in many cases one we are so much connected to.”
Alongside the vintage parades, efforts were also made to raise money for charity.
Crew from the Kington Fire Station hauled their fire engine from the town clock to the show, following the parade on the second day of the event in the name of raising money.
This followed from the previous year when they climbed the length of Everest on scaffolding to raise money for several charities, including St Michaels Hospice.
