HEREFORD players found out that their manager had been sacked on social media.

Keiran Thomas was one of the side left shocked after discovering that Pete Beadle had lost his job through the club's Twitter page.

"I was shocked to be honest and nobody was expecting that," said Thomas who was brought in by Beadle during the summer.

"I've known him for years and I'm grateful to him for giving me the chance here. We have just got to get on with it now and keep on going.

"We found out through Twitter to be honest. I think it's not great and we should have find out a bit better than that but the club wanted to announce it when they did so it's fine."

Hereford go into this Saturday's FA Cup second qualifying round tie against Truro City following a run of three defeats in all competition.

"The mood is low and confidence is low but we just need to get out of this rut and hopefully we will," Thomas added.

"I'm happy with my performances but it's not about me it's about the team and winning games especially at the moment the way we are.

"We have got a massive game on Saturday and it would be nice to have an FA Cup run so hopefully we can do the same as last year."
