- The opening chance fell to Westfields forward Jamie Molyneux who cut inside before forcing a save by the goalkeeper's legs and James Roberts forced another save with the rebound.
- John Mills on his Edgar Street return had a golden chance to put his side ahead after a terrible back-pass by Will Christopher saw the striker ghost in before being taken down by Harvey Rivers.
- Mills stepped up but stroked his shot wide.
- The game then exploded with two goals in two minutes with Shaquille Whittingham heading home from a corner on the 21st minute.
- A minute later Kyle Finn was tripped inside the box and James Roberts fired the spot kick home.
- The Herefordshire XI ended the first half on the front foot with Roberts seeing his effort saved shortly before Kyle Finn played in Mills, who shot just wide.
- Two minutes after the break Jamie Molyneux fired the hosts ahead turning a low ball into the box and taking a touch before firing into the bottom corner.
- The hosts had a glorious chance to seal the victory as Molyneux crossed for Roberts, who was only denied by a last ditch Robbie Cundy clearance.
- Whittinghan was causing a host of problems for the hosts and he latched onto a ball across the box before firing over.
- With 10 minutes remaining the FA XI equalised when George Forsyth's free-kick hits the wall before falling to Ben Whitehead who slide his shot home.
- Whitehead had another chance two minutes later as Dan King's driven cross found the striker who fired wide.
