JUNIOR athletes from Hereford and County Athletics Club have competed at two Welsh Junior League matches so far this season, coming away with a host of wins.
Hereford hosted the first match and despite a chilly and blustery day the home side did well to finish fifth overall.
Individual winners on the day were Eva Tyler in the long jump, Matt Brunnock in the 800 metres and Charlotte Colbert in the hammer, discus and shot.
Tyler and Colbert have both qualified for English Schools in July thanks to their efforts in the long jump and hammer events at the Herefordshire County Championships earlier in May.
Match two was held at the brand new stadium and track at Aberdare.
Tyler was once again on form winning the 100 metres, 200 and long jump in her age category.
Colbert also took three wins in the hammer, discus and javelin.
There was also a win for Jamie Stearman in the long jump.
Some of the club's athletes will now go to the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Schools to represent their county. Those event winners will be selected to compete in The Mason Trophy, held at the Alexander Stadium, Birmingham (home of the 2022 Commonwealth Games).
