Representatives for each team playing for a state championship this weekend made the trip to Raleigh on Wednesday morning for the annual N.C. High School Athletic Association state championship press conference.

The press conference gives the NCHSAA an opportunity to distribute information about the state championships to each of the schools participating. 15 of the 16 head coaches were also in attendance.

In addition to NCHSAA staff speaking on various topics from logistics to sportsmanship, representatives from the Carolina Panthers were on hand, and NC State football coach Dave Doeren opened the event with words of wisdom for participating coaches. NC State was the host of the press conference and one of three hosts for the state championship games.
