Andaman and Nicobar Islands Lok Sabha seat has traditionally seen the fight between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress. Bishnu Pada Ray of the BJP had won the last Lok Sabha election in 2014 after defeating Congress’ Manoranjan Bhakta.

Andaman and Nicobar Islands Lok Sabha seat is the only parliamentary constituency in the Union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Congress leader Bhakta had represented Andaman and Nicobar Islands for eight terms.

Andaman and Nicobar Islands will vote on April 11 and results of the Lok Sabha election 2019 will be declared on May 23.
