Niklas Haugland continues to catch the eye for Leeds United’s under-18s.
Plenty of Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to express their excitement about Niklas Haugland after the 16-year-old bagged another goal for the Whites’s under-18s in their 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest.
In an academy full of exciting talent, Haugland appears to be one of the names that everyone is talking about from the under-18 squad as he continues to score plenty of goals and show moments of brilliance.
He recently bagged a brace while away with Norway’s under-17 side to help them to a victory against Romania, and he has followed that up with a superb goal upon his return to Thorp Arch.
Haugland picked the ball up around the halfway line and proceeded to dribble to the edge of the box before unleashing a wicked shot into the back of the net that was slicing away from the goalkeeper.
Haugland turns 17 later this month, but there are a number of fans already calling for the youngster to get the chance to play for Carlos Corberan’s under-23 side before the end of the campaign.
There is a lot of competition up front within Corberan’s ranks, but Haugland is showing an enormous amount of promise after arriving at Elland Road last summer. And the fans are seriously excited that he could be yet another name within the academy to keep an eye out for in the future.
Here is how some of the fans reacted to Haugland’s latest goal…
