Are Premier League outfit Watford going to sign their own version of Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski?
TEAMtalk broke the news last month that one of the biggest stars of Brazilian football could be on his way to Watford.
The Hornets famously snapped up a little-known Richarlison from Fluminense in 2017 before selling him to Everton for a massive profit a year ago. And it seems that Watford are looking to repeat the trick with Lincoln in their sights.
An 18-year-old who plays for Flamengo in Brazil’s top flight, the teenager hasn’t scored in 18 senior games so far but is valued at a staggering £30 million, such is his potential. Watford would have to pay a club record fee to bring Lincoln to Vicarage Road.
But what would they be getting? Well, a hugely promising, old-school centre-forward who has been compared to Bayern Munich great Robert Lewandowski as pointed out by Goal, who have placed Lincoln in 35th in their annual Next Gen list compiling the 50 best young talents in world football.
Lewandowski is one of the most natural-born goalscorers of the 21st century, netting 284 goals in 418 games for Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.
If Lincoln ends up being half the player, it will be £30 million well spent for Watford.
