According to Transfermakt.tr, Liverpool and Galatasaray have held talks over the transfer of Marko Grujic.

It has been reported that Turkish giants Galatasaray have held initial talks with Liverpool regarding the signing of Grujic.

Eintracht Frankfurt, Werder Bremen and Atletico Madrid are also reported to be interested in the 23-year-old midfielder – who earns £15,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com.

Leaving Liverpool

Grujic has been on the books of Liverpool since January 2016 when he joined Red Star Belgrade for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £5.1 million.

The 23-year-old midfielder has failed to establish himself in the Merseyside outfit’s first team, and has had loan spells at Red Star Belgrade, Cardiff City and Hertha Berlin.

The Serbia international is unlikely to become an important player for the Liverpool first team anytime soon, and it will make sense for the youngster to find a new club this summer where he can play regular first-team football and develop as a footballer.
