According to The Daily Record, Liverpool winger Ryan Kent has told his representatives that he wants to move to Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers this summer, and that will be disappointing for Leeds United.

It has been reported that Kent has told his representatives that Rangers is his preferred destination amid interest from the Gers, Leeds and Aston Villa.

The 22-year-old winger spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan at Rangers from Premier League club Liverpool.

According to Goal.com, Leeds are interested in signing Kent this summer, while The Daily Record has claimed of interest in Villa – although the publication has added that Dean Smith’s side have pulled out of the race for the former England Under-20 international.

Sensible decision

Leeds are a massive club and will be aiming for promotion to the Premier League next season, but Kent knows Rangers inside out and was a success at Ibrox this past campaign.

The winger was an important player in Gerrard’s team, and it would make sense for the 22-year-old to return to Rangers and continue his development at Ibrox.
