Luke Daley has interest from Liverpool and Southampton, but he is joining Huddersfield Town instead, says Sevvy Aslam.
Aslam has disclosed that Liverpool and Southampton wanted to sign Daley, but the 16-year-old winger has decided to switch to Huddersfield.
The Vale academy manager has also outlined just how good the teenager is and what his attributes are.
ExaminerLive quotes Aslam as saying about Daley: “He would attract the attention because he is a winger that gets you on the edge of your seat because he loves taking players on and then he has a good delivery.
“So, whenever the ball comes to him he lights the place up, you lean forward to see what he is going to do next. He is that type of player.
“He is a left winger, left footed. they are in demand as they are probably at most clubs. We had interest from Huddersfield and while that was going on, we had interest from Southampton and Liverpool.
“He has decided to stick with Huddersfield. He is a lovely lad and we are sad to see him go.”
Huddersfield Town move
According to ExaminerLive, Daley will be with the Huddersfield Academy for the next two years before taking up the offer of a 12-month professional deal.
Huddersfield, who will play in the Championship next season after getting relegated from the Premier League, will pay Vale a compensation fee as well, according to the report.
Promising talent
Daley is a very talented and promising young winger who can be a star in the future.
The 16-year-old – who is an Everton fan, according to ExaminerLive – will improve and develop at Huddersfield, and his decision not to move to Liverpool or Southampton could be justified in the coming years.
