Rangers-owned goalkeeper Jak Alnwick praised by Blackpool fans

Jak Alnwick joined Blackpool on loan from Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers in the summer transfer window.

Glasgow Rangers-owned goalkeeper Jak Alnwick has been praised by some Blackpool fans on Twitter for his performance at the weekend.

Alnwick joined Blackpool in League One in England on loan from Scottish Premiership club Rangers in the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old former Newcastle United goalkeeper was in action for Simon Grayson’s side against Oxford United at home on Saturday.

The former England Under-18 international has been playing well for the Seasiders this season, and he was superb again between the posts, making some very important saves.

Some Blackpool fans were impressed with the performance of Alnwick against Southend United away from home in League One last weekend, as reported on HITC Sport, and some supporters of the club were pleased with the Rangers-owned goalkeeper this weekend as well.

Alnwick has taken to Twitter to revel in his side’s win 2-1 win against Oxford at Bloomfield Road at the weekend, and some Blackpool fans have responded positively to his post, as shown below.
