West Bromwich Albion new signing Filip Krovinovic and Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Raul Jimenez played together at Benfica before.
Jimenez and Krovinovic were both teammates at Benfica earlier in their careers, and now are both playing in England.
While Krovinovic is hoping to make a name for himself at West Brom, Jimenez has already done so at Wolves.
And West Brom’s Croatian forward has spoken highly of the Wolves front man.
“He is a very good guy, a hard worker. I saw that he was destroying it last year and that Wolverhampton bought him for big money,” he said.
“When I was playing, he was most of the time entering off the bench for 10 or 15 minutes because we played normally only with one striker. But every time when he entered the pitch, he did something, an assist or a goal.”
Jimenez had a wonderful first season in English football with Wolves last term.
The Mexican striker’s move to Molineux was made permanent over the summer, and he is set to play a key role for Nuno’s side.
Krovinovic will be aiming to make a similar impact at West Brom this season.
Krovinovic has made four appearances for the Baggies so far, claiming one assist.
