Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang won’t play tomorrow.
According to Football.London, Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang sat out training today, and won’t play against Vitoria de Guimaraes.
The Gunners lost 1-0 away at Sheffield United on Monday night, turning in a dismal display as Lys Mousset bagged the only goal of the game.
Unai Emery is under huge pressure after that defeat, and he desperately needs to come up with a big win against Vitoria Guimaraes in the Europa League on Thursday.
However, it seems that Emery will have to do it without his star man, as striker Aubameyang allegedly sat out training on Wednesday.
Aubameyang isn’t injured though, and is instead just being rested ahead of the weekend clash with London neighbours Crystal Palace.
David Luiz also sat out training for the same reason, with Arsenal choosing to rest the pair for the big game against Palace, as Emery is clearly desperate for a big Premier League victory.
Aubameyang is the big miss though, especially having already scored against Eintracht Frankfurt in the first game of the group stage last month.
Arsenal will certainly miss their £200,000-a-week attacker, but it’s a chance for Alexandre Lacazette to make a start and pick up his fitness after returning from injury.
