Dr. Rex Hoffman – August 21, 2019

On this episode of the Providence Holy Cross Health Hour with Tom Burton, Dr. Rex Hoffman joins the show to talk about his role at Providence Holy Cross. Dr. Hoffman recently became the Chief Medical Officer at Providence Holy Cross, and Dr. Burton talks to him about what he intends to do within Providence to help make the program better. A Chief Medical Officer’s job is to help the doctors of a medical facility be successful, happy, and, most importantly, deliver the best possible care to their patients. The Chief Medical Officer helps the doctors be the best they can be while providing them with the best equipment necessary to deliver the highest-quality treatment their patients may require. Dr. Burton begins by asking Dr. Hoffman about how he became interested in medicine, and what inspired him to become a doctor.

Dr. Burton and Dr. Hoffman talk about the various types of medicine that a doctor can study, and how each one can offer a unique perspective on the human body and how to treat it. Dr. Hoffman also talks about the philanthropic board that is assembled at Providence to help provide the latest technology and the most opportunities for treatment. Dr. Hoffman mentions how important it is to retain the best doctors they have, and how they are always planning for the future of what Providence Holy Cross can provide for its patients. Dr. Hoffman brings up the increased capabilities that Providence Holy Cross has to treat nearly any kind of stroke, and is really excited for the results Providence and patients will see from their new capabilities.

Listen in as Dr. Tom Burton and Dr. Rex Hoffman talk about what a Chief Medical Officer is and does, and how Dr. Hoffman plans to use his position to help every doctor at Providence Holy Cross be the best they can be so that the patients may receive the quality care they deserve.
