Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris has opened the Eiffel Tower Suite and the Parisian Suite.
French interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon created a design scheme for the new suites that blends with the hotel’s existing elegant décor.
Spread over 140 square meters (1,500 square feet), each suite has a connecting room, making both ideal for families.
The Eiffel Tower Suite has views of the Eiffel Tower, the dome of Les Invalides and the city skyline beyond via a wrought-iron terrace. The suite has a sun-flooded bow window, as well as contemporary décor. In use are textured carpets and fabrics in cream and ivory colored tones. Italian Carrara marble and magnificent original works of art, including a brass engraving by Valérie Boy, adorn the walls of the bathroom, alongside antique mirrors and historical engravings of the hotel.
Meanwhile, the Parisian Suite was inspired by a Parisian apartment. A balcony overlooks the hotel’s Marble Courtyard. There is an office with a library, a dining room with fireplace and a private kitchen. It is also adorned with French marquetry and antique Persian rugs. The color scheme continues in the bathroom, which is adorned with crystal Lalique parakeet sculptures also designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon. The suite’s Empire-style furnishings, objets d’art and Ateliers Philippe Coudray fabrics in color palettes of beige and accents of taupe and black contribute to the overall atmosphere. There are a number of works of art by contemporary artists including René Galassi and Isabelle Girollet.
