Curious to know how much it will cost you to live in London's most expensive streets? Luxury estate agent Vyomm has released a list of the top five streets with the highest property prices — and Knightsbridge and Ashburton Place come in at the top.
London is known for its staggering house prices and soaring rent, but which areas are the priciest of them all? It may come as no surprise that Kensington, Belgravia and Knightsbridge all make the top five.
If you're looking to secure a house of your own in these areas, you'll need around £7 million for a property in Belgravia and £16 million for Knightsbridge.
'Despite a fall in transactions and slower market conditions across the lower echelons of the market, London’s most prestigious locations continue to command a premium price tag,' Utsav Goenka, founder of Vyomm told Tatler.
'Regardless of what’s thrown at it, prime central London’s traditional property hunting grounds will always hold an appeal that far outweighs any temporary market upsets and as a result, property will continue to sell and for more than a pretty penny.'
5 of the most expensive streets in London
1) Knightsbridge
Topping the list for the most eye-watering house prices is Knightsbridge in the City of Westminster, where an average property will set you back around £16 million. Famous residents include Stella McCartney, JK Rowling and Sir Elton John.
2) Ashburton Place
In second place is Ashburton Place in Mayfair, close to Green Park. The average house price in this area is £12.6 million, but expect beautiful grand properties with long gardens and decadent interiors.
3) Campden Hill in Kensington and Chelsea
Securing the third spot is Campden Hill, which was once named as the most expensive street in England and Wales back in 2011. Nestled close to Kensington Palace, Campden Hill is a breathtaking location right in the heart of the city. Buying a house here will cost you around £8.5 million.
4) Bedford Gardens, Kensington
An average property here will cost you £7.4 million. It's one of the most sought-after streets in the city, located just off Kensington Church Street. As well as being close to restaurants, shops and beautiful parks, the area is quaint, quiet and packed with character.
5) Eaton Square, Belgravia
The fifth most expensive street in London is Eaton Square — a residential garden area in the Belgravia district. If you're looking to buy a property here, it will cost you around £7 million.
