X Factor: Celebrity viewers are threatening to boycott the show.

It comes after Simon Cowell’s controversial decision to save Vinnie Jones on Saturday night's show, despite him pleading to go home.

The Irish Mirror reports how the judge, 60, was “blasted” by viewers for saving the former footballer.

Vinnie found himself in the bottom two with Kevin McHale.

After he'd performed a version of Galway Shawl, he told the judges he'd had a "fantastic time" but that he wanted to leave so that former Glee star Kevin could stay.

But Simon refused to respect Vinnie's wishes.

Vinnie told the judges: "It's been everything I needed since my wife passed."

But Simon still wanted to make the final decision and saved Vinnie, sending Kevin crashing out of the competition.

Vinnie had earlier admitted he wanted to leave because he had an upcoming golf contest.

Fans took to Twitter to vent their fury.

One said: "A compete sham! @SimonCowell should of let @VinnieJones65 go with dignity after that gorgeous song from the heart! I respect Vinnie but he’s no singer #CelebrityXFactor #vinniejones.

And one said: "VINNIE LITERALLY SAID HE HAD A GOLF TOURNAMENT TO GO TO HE DOESN’T GIVE A F***, KEVIN OWNED THAT S*** AND HE WON THAT SING OFF HES THE BEST ACT IN THAT COMPETITION AND HIS A** GOT SENT HOME.

"IT REALLY SHOWS THAT THE BRITISH PUBLIC ARE F***** #XFactorCelebrity #CelebrityXFactor."
