An East Yorkshire beach has been named in a top 50 best beaches in the UK list.

North Landing in Flamborough featured at number 32 in The Times’ weekend supplement of ’ 50 best secret beaches in the UK ’.

Putting together a list of hidden coves and wild shores, North Landing was described as a ‘small golden crescent of sand’ known as a perfect place to spot puffins and razorbills.

The article read: “Below impressive chalk cliffs north of Flamborough Head, North Landing is a small golden crescent of sand where rock pools teem with marine life and puffins and razorbills can be spied by keen-eyed visitors.”

The Times also picked Rockville Farm Cottages as the place to stay for those who plan on making a trip to the beach.

Number one on the list was Penbryn Ceredigion in Cardigan Bay, Wales, famous for being a setting for the James Bond film ‘Die Another Day’.
