The new Alienware Aurora uses the same space-saving layout as last year’s model. This model essentially comes with a power supply that’s been turned 90-degrees onto its side and fitted to an articulating arm that sits right above the PC’s processor and motherboard area. When you open up the Aurora, you can pull away the PSU from the rest of the computer like a car door, which grants you access to the main area.
The Alienware Aurora arrives on August 20th for $969.
Matching Peripherals
Along with a new gaming desktop, Alienware has also updated its peripherals to match its Legend industrial design rollout. To that end, the company has introduced an Alienware Low-Profile RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard that employs Cherry MX Low-Profile Red switches. What’s more, this is also Alienware’s first gaming keyboard that features per-key RGB customization along with the new two-tone look from the Aurora and Alienware’s gaming laptops.
This low-profile gaming keyboard releases on August 20th for $159. And if you’d rather have full-sized key-caps, Alienware also has a regular Mechanical Gaming Keyboard with Cherry MX Red switches that’ll go for $99 and arrives on the same day.
Alienware has also introduced its first Wireless Gaming Mouse with a new Legend industrial design. More notably, this updated gaming mouse features a new tall, ambidextrous shape that pulls away heavily away from its previous gaming mice.
The new mouse also features a 16,000 DPI sensor with a 1000Hz polling rate, plus a battery life of up to 350 hours. It will arrive on August 20th for $99. Kevin Lee is IGN's Hardware and Roundups Editor. Follow him on Twitter @baggingspam
