Silvassa: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday attacked the Opposition’s ‘United India’ rally which is held at Kolkata’s Brigade Parade Ground and said that the ‘gathbandhan’ formed is not against him but against the people of India. Stating that it was the actions he took against corruption which infuriated some people, PM Modi further said that the Opposition has hence formed an alliance called ‘Mahagathbandhan’.

PM Modi said, “My actions against corruption have infuriated some people. It’s but natural for them to get angry as I’ve prevented them from looting public money. Consequently, they have now formed an alliance called Mahagathbandhan.”

He went on to add that the Opposition leaders weren’t even united and that they have already started bargaining for their share. The Prime Minister further added that he finds Opposition’s remark of saving the country and democracy ‘funny’. “Jab loktantra ka gala ghotne wale loktantra ko bachane ki baat karte toh desh ke munh se nikalta hai ‘wah kya baat’.”

PM Modi laid the foundation stone of Medical College at Sayli. The College will improve three-tier health care facilities in Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu and adjoining areas. He also launched the m-Arogya app and door to door waste collection, segregation and digitally processing of Solid Waste in Dadra & Nagar Haveli.

PM Modi on Saturday dedicated to the nation L&T Armoured Systems Complex at Hazira in Gujarat. It will produce 100 Howitzer artillery guns, christened “K9 Vajra-T” under the make in India programme. The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of Nirali Cancer hospital in Navsari which will benefit cancer patients of South Gujarat and neighbouring states.

In Mumbai, PM Modi will inaugurate the new building for National Museum of Indian Cinema and address the gathering. The Museum has been set up to showcase the rich cinematic history of India as well as to encapsulate the socio-cultural history of India as revealed through the evolution of Cinema. It will take the visitors through an absorbing journey of more than a century of Indian Cinema in a storytelling mode with the help of visuals and graphics, film clippings, publicity materials and interactive exhibits.
