We all talk about the importance of bringing small changes in our society. Be it by making our cities clean or making sure that our city walls are not covered with hideous posters. While, most of us are here, being arm chair rebels there are people in the small town of Hisar, bringing about a big change for the betterment of the town they call home.

Hisar is one of the smaller towns of Haryana and something really nice is happening to the city walls. We have all seen public walls covered with random posters, at times lewd comments and most often pan spit. No one usually looks at them twice, we just pass by hurriedly through such spaces. But some people in Hisar stopped ignoring this filth and started taking action, since last year.

The tweet below summarises what these volunteers have been doing. They ‘voluntarily come together every Sunday to remove illegal posters, clean and paint the walls. They have been actively doing that for last 1 year and the group size is growing exponentially every week.’’

These nameless samaritans are doing their bit for making their country a better place. Little drops of water make a mighty ocean they say.

Their small step might inspire others to do the same; gather in a group and paint their city beautiful. Who knows this could be a new trend like the #trashtag challenge which actually made a difference for the good.

Kudos to these people!
