Punjab: 53-year-old sexually assaults 8-year-old for 3 years, case registered

A case has been registered against 53-year-old Baresh Kumar of Nangal town in Punjab, after he was accused of sexually assaulting an eight-year-old girl who used to take tuition classes from his wife.

The case came to light when the family members of the victim approached the police and alleged that the accused had been sexually assaulting the girl for the last three years, the Dainik Bhaskar reported.

The mother of the victim said that she came to know about the incident on August 19 when her daughter returned from her tuition classes, looking depressed and puzzled. When asked, her daughter said that she would not go to her tuition anymore.

The victim then said that her tuition teacher's husband sexually assaulted her after giving her intoxicants. She also alleged that she had been sexually assaulted by Naresh for the last three years. The victim studies in the third standard and took tuition classes for the accused's wife.

The victim even said that Naresh threatened to kill her and her family if she ever said anything to anyone.

Police have recorded statements of the victim's family members will soon start a probe. However, the family members of the accused denied allegations and called it a fake case to avenge oast rivalry.
