West Delhi: Hungry thieves ransack house, enjoy beer and bananas

On Saturday afternoon, at Janakpuri's posh area C-5, the thieves ransacked the house in everyone's absence and easily scanned the entire house, picking up jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh along with some cash.

In West Delhi, thieves are so fearless that even in broad daylight they managed to fled away with cash and jewellery worth lakhs from a house in a posh colony. Moreover, they also consumed beer, coconut water and bananas kept inside the refrigerator.

On Saturday afternoon, at Janakpuri's posh area C-5, the thieves ransacked the house in everyone's absence and easily scanned the entire house, picking up jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh along with some cash.

Annoyed by the city's hot weather, they had a hearty meal of bananas, beer and coconut water.

Victim Prema is associated with the Nobel Peace Prize recipient Kailash Satyarthi's organisation.

Prema stated that their colony has witnessed many such robberies in the past few months. South MCD's former mayor Narendra Chawla who also lives in the same colony said this is a serious issue and needs to be tackled at the earliest.

Investigation is being carried out by the police who are trying to nab those involved. They have also taken fingerprints from various objects at home. Incidents such as these have threatened the colony residents to a great extent.
