The Madhya Pradesh voter has returned to the camp of the National Democratic Alliance for the Lok Sabha elections, the India Today-Axis My India Exit Poll has predicted.

Barely months after voting the Bharatiya Janata Party out of the state assembly, the voters are likely to elect the NDA leaders at 26 to 28 Lok Sabha seats, the exit poll results say.

According to India Today-Axis My India Exit Poll 2019, Congress-led UPA may get only one to three seats. The vote share is predicted to be 57 per cent for NDA, 33 per cent for UPA, while others may get 10 per cent votes polled in the state.

In 2014, the BJP had won 26 seats, while Congress had secured three.

In Madhya Pradesh, the NDA is projected to bounce back after the Assembly poll setback, agree both Jan Ki Baat and the IANS-CVoter. They have projected 24 and 21-24 seats for the NDA. For the UPA, the CVoter has predicted 21-24 seats, and Jan Ki Baat 5-8 seats.

Voting in 29 Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh was held across four phases of Lok Sabha elections.

The schedule for seven-phase Lok Sabha elections in the country, beginning April 11, was announced by the Election Commission in Delhi. The counting of votes will be taken up on May 23.

Six constituencies went to polls on April 29 in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections. They included Sidhi, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat, and Chhindwara Lok Sabha constituencies.

The seats that went to polls in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections on May 6 were Tikamgarh, Damoh, Khajuraho, Satna, Rewa, Hoshangabad, and Betul.

Eight Lok Sabha seats went to polls in the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections on May 12. They included Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Guna, Sagar, Vidisha, Bhopal, and Rajgarh.

Around 71.15 per cent voter turnout was recorded till the end of voting for the eight Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, a poll official said.

In the final phase of Lok Sabha elections, eight constituencies went to polls today. They included Dewas, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Dhar, Indore, Khargone, and Khandwa Lok Sabha constituencies. All these constituencies are currently held by the BJP. An average 69.26 per cent voter turnout was recorded in the first three phases of the Lok Sabha polls in the state.
