Just a few days after she took charge of her post as AICC general secretary for eastern Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi will begin her political blitz in Lucknow on February 11.
Her brother and Congress president Rahul Gandhi will be alongside her at the time of her first public appearance after taking charge of the post.
She is likely to hold a road show and meet party workers. Congress leadership has already realised that in the past absence of grassroot-level workers has cost party dearly.
Her visit to Lucknow was scheduled to be on February 10 but sources say the plan was cancelled as it is a Sunday.
Priyanka Gandhi Vadra was appointed the Congress's general secretary for eastern Uttar Pradesh in January.

Congress and its allies had welcomed Priyanka Gandhi's appointment as AICC general secretary, saying it will be a great success for the party ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha polls given Priyanka's profile and the adoration she commands, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had mocked it saying that her entry into active politics is an admission from the Congress party that Rahul Gandhi has failed in providing leadership.
PM Narendra Modi had taken a dig at Priyanka Gandhi's entry into politics.
He had said that for BJP, the party itself is a family but for some political parties (Congress) a family is equivalent to the entire party.
