Exit poll results for the two Lok Sabha seat in Tripura suggest that the BJP will win both seats in the seat. The Lok Sabha elections in Tripura were held in two phases. There are two Lok Sabha seats in Tripura-Tripura West and Tripura East.

In 2014 Lok Sabha elections, both the seats in Tripura were won by the Communist Party of India (Marxist).

It is advantage BJP in smaller and northeastern states in the Lok Sabha Elections, 2019 and the party along with its allies are likely to have a considerable lead over rival UPA.

"The contribution of the northeastern states to the overall BJP tally in the Lok Sabha will not only mark a definite departure from the past trends but also would make the eight northeastern states a major player in the country's national politics," BJP has said.

At present, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is in power in Tripura. The chief minister is Biplab Deb. In the past five years, the BJP has made inroads in Tripura and other Northeastern states.

The schedule for the 2019 Lok Sabha election was announced by the Election Commission of India on March 10. The 542 Lok Sabha seats in the country went to poll in seven phases.

Voting for the first phase was scheduled on April 11 and the last (seventh phase) on May 19.

Official result of the 2019 Lok Sabha seat will be announced by the Election Commission on may 23.
