Election results 2019 West Bengal: TMC wins 22 seats, faces stiff battle from BJP

The ruling TMC won 22 seats in the state, facing a stiff battle from the BJP which gained massively in the state by winning 18 out of the 42 parliamentary seats in the state

Dinesh Trivedi loses to Arjun Singh of BJP in Bengal's Barrackpore BJP's Arjun Singh wrested the Barrackpore Lok Sabha seat from Trinamool Congress's Dinesh Trivedi in a fiercely fought poll battle by a margin of 14,857 votes.

Singh bagged 4,72,994 votes, while Trivedi, the former railway minister, could managed 4,58,137 votes.

In Bangaon, which has a sizeable number of Matua votes, BJP's Shantanu Thakur defeated Trinamool Congress's Mamata Thakur by a margin of 1,11,594 votes.

BJP got 6,87,622 votes in the seat, while the Trinamool Congress candidate bagged 5,76,028 votes.

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has won 6 Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal and is leading in 16. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won two seats and also leads in 16. The contest has gone to the wire in Bengal where counting seems to have been delayed due to prior disturbances during polling.

The Trinamool Congress has won five Lok Sabha seats and is currently leading in 17 more seats in the West Bengal Lok Sabha elections 2019. Bharatiya Janata Party, on the other side, seems to have completely adopted the role of the main opposition in West Bengal with leads in 17 seats and victory in 1. If the leads stand, BJP will win 18 seats in Bengal--a massive improvement from 2014.

The TMC in West Bengal is leading in 21 seats with a tough battle from the BJP leading in 18 seats in the state.

The TMC is leading in 25 seats in West Bengal, while the BJP has made gains in the state and is leading in 16 seats. Meanwhile, the Congress is leading in 1 seat.

West Bengal seems to be headed for a saffron surge, with the BJP leading in 19 seats and the ruling All India Trinamool Congress ahead in 22 out of 42 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state.

Mamata Banerjee's TMC is leading in 23 seats out of 42 in West Bengal. The BJP is giving the TMC a stiff fight, leading in 18 seats.

Union Minister and BJP leader Babul Supriyo leading in Asansol, BJP's Arjun Singh leading in Barrackpore and TMC's Mimi Chakraborty leading in Jadavpur.

The TMC is leading in 24 seats, the BJP in 17 seats and Congress in 1 seat in West Bengal.
