Credit war over the works in unauthorised colonies has started through poster and banners. On one hand, Arvind Kejriwal with his smiling face poster is taking credit for the works done in these unauthorised colonies, while the BJP has put the posters on the ownership rights to the residents of these colonies, with photograph of PM Narendra Modi.

Even AAP MLAs have started the poster campaign in their respective assembly constituencies with focus on work done on the ground.

AAP MLA from South Delhi's Sangam Vihar Dinesh Mohania has put up with campaign line 'Mera Vote Kaam Ko'on posters, hoardings, autoricksaw and DTC bus stops.

"In true sense of democracy, the elected representative should keep his account of five years in front of the public and ask for votes on the basis of his work and not on caste, religion or regionalism. It is also the responsibility of the public to decide their vote on the basis of work," Dinesh Mohania said.

"The BJP has put up banners all over Delhi, we believe that till the unauthorised colonies do not get the registries, which is their right, these colonies are of no use by simply registering on the website. There are many loopholes in it as well, no colony with O zone, forest, ASI objections is being registered, no colony of Sangam Vihar will be getting registry," Dinesh Mohania added.

The issue of unauthorised colonies also features heavily in the BJP posters with PM Modi's face.

Delhi BJP leader Kuljeet Singh Chahal said that apart from posters and banners, BJP will also start signature campaign in unauthorised colonies soon.

"Posters have been put up all over Delhi, apart from Laxmi Nagar, Burari, Okhla, Ashram and Ring Road in Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given ownership to unauthorised colonies under PM Uday Yojana. But the Aam Aadmi Party had confused the public by celebrating 'Cheat Day'. From passing the map to getting ownership of unauthorised colonies, it has become possible only because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Before the election, the BJP leader will campaign to inform the public of unauthorised colonies via social media and by also holding signature campaigns," said the BJP leader.

Opposition leader and BJP MLA Vijender Gupta attacked the AAP government for not doing anything in unauthorised colonies. He also said that on December 22, PM Narendra Modi will address people of unauthorised colonies in Ramlila Maidan.

"Arvind Kejriwal has been confused by the decision to regularise unauthorised colonies. It is clear from the separate statement by the Aam Aadmi Party that they have been shaken by the decision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The condition in the colonies is disturbed. The corporation was also stopped paying money for work in the colonies. The Aam Aadmi Party is upset with the decision of the central government as the people of the unauthorised colony are happy with the decision," BJP MLA Vijender Gupta said.

AAP's spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj claimed the work done by the Kejriwal government in unauthorised colonies in last five years will speak for itself.

"One party [Aam Aadmi Party] is saying that we have government from last four years which did work to lay down roads, sewer lines and water lines. But another party [BJP] is saying that we ate power from last six years and we will do something for unauthorised colonies. Now it is up to the people to decide whether they will vote for the party which did work or which is only promising it," Saurabh Bhardwaj said.

Bhardwaj also said, "BJP only selected 100 houses and is not going to do care about people of unauthorised colonies after election. I heard from people of unauthorised colonies that they are listening such announcement from last 20 years about regularization and they will not believe it till they get the registry in their hand."
