Teams of the SDRF and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been on the operation to find the boy for three days.

The rescue teams, on Tuesday, threw a statue of Deepak into the sewer in a fresh effort to locate the boy.

Deepak's father, Guddu Ram, however, has said that the efforts being made were inadequate. He said that the rescue teams searched only 100 m of the sewer in 72 hours, indicating the slow pace of the operation. He urged the administration to put in more efforts to trace Deepak.

Deputy Commissioner, Patna Municipal Corporation Vishal Anand admitted that the absence of barricading near the sewer was an act of grave negligence.

Army teams will also join the rescue operation now.
