It was verbal rape: 3 women claim harassment in South Delhi bar

Three women were allegedly molested by a group of men in a resto bar in South Delhi on Saturday.

The incident which was narrated by one of the victims in a Facebook post took place between 10:25 pm to 10:40 pm.

In the Facebook post, one of the victims said that she along with her friends had gone out for dinner to Sidecar restaurant in Greater Kailash-2 at 10:00 pm on Saturday.

The victim alleged that some men at the restaurant passed obscene comments and even pushed them.

The woman accused the men of making obscene gestures and abusing them.

"And soon after, he lifted his right leg and put it up towards my face..." the victim said.

Describing the situation, the victim said that for 25 minutes, the accused sat behind her chair and "cheekily pouted and blew kissers in the air".

She also slammed the restaurant and said, "The manager of the restaurant was cooperative but unfortunately not well informed about what to do in such situations."

"The men finally left after hearing we called the cops," the victim said.

"It was nothing but verbal rape! I am so mad, upset and angry," she further said.

The victim, in her post, went on to say, "We were left shaken, shocked and appalled and we left after spending 3 hours at the police station, trying to get an FIR lodged!"

An FIR has been filed under Sections of molestation (IPC-354) against the accused. The identity of the accused is being ascertained.
