BJP MLA Akash Vijayvargiya on Saturday was granted bail by Bhopal's Special Court. The first-time MLA recently triggered controversy for attacking Indore Municipal Corporation's (IMC) zonal officer Dhirendra Singh with a cricket bat in Indore on June 26.
Akash Vijayvargiya was granted bail in both the cases-beating up a government officer and demonstrating a protest in Rajbara, Indore, over power cuts in the state.

A special court in Bhopal on Saturday heard the bail plea of BJP MLA Akash Vijayvargiya.
On Thursday, an Indore court had refused the bail plea of the BJP MLA.
Following which, the case was transferred to Bhopal's Special Court set up for public representatives.

BJP MLA Akash Vijayvargiya, son of senior BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya was held on Wednesday for thrashing a government officer.
However, the first-time MLA justified his action by saying, "This is just a beginning. We will finish corruption and hooliganism (of civic officials)."
Akash Vijayvargiya further said that the civic officials were razing houses which were in good condition so that leaders of the Kamal Nath-led Congress government can possess the land.
