Day after Delhi cop commits suicide in Anand Vihar, another cop kills self in Tilak Nagar

A police-personnel on Friday committed suicide by hanging himself with a ceiling fan in west Delhi's Tilak Nagar, sources said.

The deceased was identified as Ravinder Meena, aged 40, who was posted in Control Room South District.

The personnel was rushed to the DDU Hospital in an unconscious state by his colleagues, where he was declared brought dead by the doctor.

On Friday evening, the cop's wife had informed the police that Ravinder had consumed liquor during day time and was unwilling to open the door of his room.

An investigation has been launched into the death of the policeman.

In a similar incident on Friday, a head constable namely Naresh Panwar posted at a police station in Anand Vihar Railway Station in New Delhi committed suicide on Friday.
