Kailash Gahlot joined the session at the Dwarka Sector 22 DTC depot, along with the district magistrate of South West district and other senior officers.

"Training and briefing of around 5,000 civil defence volunteers are being conducted in all the revenue districts in Delhi today. DMs, ADMs, SDMs and Tehsildars along with wardens and chief wardens of all districts are participating in this programme," Kailash Gahlot said.

Gahlot said that jackets, placards and other relevant material have been handed over to these volunteers, which is required for their duties during the odd-even. Civil defence volunteers played an important role during the last odd-even programmes in Delhi.

They assist the traffic police and guide the public. Civil defence volunteers will be deployed at all traffic intersections and roads in shifts to assist the traffic police so that people do not face any difficulty during the odd-even scheme.
