District magistrate, wife adopt newborn girl in Gujarat's Anand

A district magistrate and his wife, who is a judge, have adopted a newborn girl who lost her mother at the time of her birth.

The newborn's mother died at Arogya Kendra Hospital in Vasad village near Anand after giving birth to her third daughter.

After the death of the girl's mother, the child's father was traumatised and concerned about the future of his daughters

Anand district magistrate Amit Prakash Yadav got information about this incident and decided to adopt the newborn.

Amit Prakash Yadav informed his wife Chitra about this incident, and they both rushed to the hospital. Considering the condition of the girl's family, Chitra and her husband Amit Prakash Yadav adopted the girl with the consent of the girl's father and family.

The girl was born in Valsad village hospital on the banks of the river Mahi, so the girl has been named "Mahi".

Amit Prakash and Chitra also have one and a half-year-old son.
