"Thanks to all for supporting me in my journey - The journey of state president is now over - Thanks & Lots Of Love To All My Supporters," he tweeted along with his resignation letter.

Ajoy Kumar blamed former union ministers Subodh Kant Sahay, Rameshwar Oraon and few others for their leg-pulling attitude. Ajoy Kumar did not hesitate in placing various leaders in dock for working against the party's interest.

Close to Ajoy's resignation, speculations are rife that few big state leaders can desert the party very soon. MLA from Barhi, Manoj Yadav, and few others are known to be in constant touch with the BJP. There is a mad rush to desert the party and jump out of the sinking ship, the insiders in the party states on condition of anonymity.

Congress never looked like an united organisation even when it was in power at the Centre. The party has witnessed dissension, rivalry with each other, discordance and friction over the years.

Again the party has been a mute spectator to firing also in June 2013 when the discontent between the then CLP leader Rajendra singh and an MLA took an ugly turn.

According to sources, the Congress party can entrust the responsibility of PCC to Sukhdeo Bhagat to play the tribal card in the assembly polls. It can also bet upon Alamgir Alam, the CLP who has an immaculate image of the trusted lieutenant of Congress.
