An 4.7 magnitude earthquake hit Assam's Barpeta district this morning.

Two tremors were felt in Guwahati, and many parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Arunanchal Pradesh, Nagaland and Manipur.

The first tremor was felt are around 9.17 am, and the second, at 9.21 am.

No damage or casualties have been reported so far.
