Earthquake with 4.2 magnitude rocks Jammu and Kashmir

An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale rocked Jammu and Kashmir region on Tuesday. The tremors were felt at around 04:20 pm.

The epicentre of the quake was in the mountains near Leh. No reports of injuries or casualties so far. More details awaited.

Earlier on August 9, an earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter scale had hit Indo-Nepal border.
