An earthquake measuring 2.5 on the Richter Scale hit Palghar district in Maharashtra today. The exact location of the earthquake is 20.0 degress north and 73.0 degress east.

The minor earthquake was reportedly trigerred at a depth of 5 km. No damages to property has been reported so far.

Earlier in the day, a minor earthquake also hit parts of Kutch region in Gujarat. The earthquake's intensity was measured as 4.2 on the Richter Scale. The earthquake was reported at around 2.43 pm with its epicenter recorded in west of Bhachau in Kutch district.

According to the reports, no loss of life or damage to property was reported in this earthquake either.
