In all of these areas, 'tanker raj' has been growing very quickly. When a water tanker comes people fight for the water.

In this scorching heat at 40 to 45 degree Celsius, people are standing in long queues just to get water for drinking and for their daily use.

Not only elders but children too are standing in queues just to fulfil their basic necessities.

Besides this, people over here are facing various health issues like back and knee problems.

Locals living in these areas said that in order to make water adequately and equally accessible, we must shift our focus from water sources to water resources.

Area corporator Haji Bhai said, "On a regular basis they complain to the Ahmedabad corporation but everything goes in vain."
