A major fire broke out at a chemical factory in Gujarat's Rajkot Thursday evening. The fire broke out at a chemical factory in Rajkot's Aji GIDC industrial area. Visuals shared by local Gujarati news channels showed a charred building and oil tanker and thick black smoke billowing towards the sky.
In the visuals, firefighters are seen spraying foam as they attempt getting the fire in Rajkot under control. Efforts to bring the fire under control are reprotedly still on as of last updating this report.

Local daily Divya Bhaskar is reporting that the Rajkot Fire Brigade Department has issued a 'brigade call' in response to Aji GIDC fire. Generally, a brigade call is issued by fire departments in dire times.
A brigade call requires each and every fire-fighting vehicle and personnel to rush to the site of a fire and help with rescue and relief operations.
There were no immediate reports of any casualties in the Rajkot fire.
