A Rickshaw driver tried to commit suicide by drinking phenyl after he was challaned of Rs 18,000 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He tried to commit suicide after he failed to pay the penalty amount.

The man, identified as Raju Solanki, has been admitted in a hospital. He is unable to pay the fine due to poor financial condition. His rickshaw has been confiscated for not paying penalty amount.

According to Raju, "I am unable to go to work as my rickshaw has been confiscated."

He has studied B.Com but had to drive rickshaw when he couldn't find any job for himself.
